The studio is a 500-square-foot natural light space located at 30 Arbor Street in Hartford, CT 06106. It is a space for creatives with tall, windows and hardwood floors. The space is flooded with soft light throughout the day, is open and versatile and a clean slate to suit your vision. The Studio allows you to create, capture, and host with ease in a beautiful, light-filled environment. Booking Process & Pricing
1. View availability and Book through the simple online booking portal HERE
2. Pay & Sign the contract - you date/time is officially booked!
3. You will receive a confirmation email in your email inbox with date/time/location/parking details as well as FAQ & preferred vendors.
4. 48 hours before your booking you will receive a reminder email with all details via email & text
5. 24 hours before your booking you will receive a reminder email with all booking details re- stated via email & text.

Whether you need the studio for a one-hour session or an all-day mini session marathon, we offer flexible pricing to fit your needs. All day rates offered for wedding-day getting ready and small gatherings. Long-term lease options are available as well.

Pricing
We are located at 30 Arbor Street, Hartford, CT 06106. Free on-site parking is available, with designated spots for compact cars in the front of the building, additional parking around the back and street parking. You’ll enter through the front doors using the secure access code, which will be sent to you 24 hours before your booking.
IS THERE ONSITE PARKING AT THE STUDIO?
Smoking and the use of illegal drugs are strictly prohibited inside the studio and building. The studio must be returned to its original condition, with all trash disposed of and furniture reset. There is a vacuum, broom and swifter available for use. Failure to do so will result in a $200 cleaning fee charged to the CC on file for cleaning fee, plus any applicable charges for damages.
SMOKING / CLEANING & DAMAGES
Yes, the studio is pet-friendly! We love welcoming your furry friends. Pets must be leashed or crated while in all public or common areas of the building, and we kindly ask that they stay off all furniture during your session. Any damages caused by pets will be charged to the CC on file.
IS THE STUDIO PET FRIENDLY?
We’re excited to offer an all-inclusive space designed to accommodate a variety of creative and professional needs. The studio is perfect for portrait sessions, wedding/bridal getting-ready, product photography, small video productions, content creation, styled sessions, podcast recording, co-working, client meetings, intimate events, small gatherings, and wellness/creative classes.
STUDIO USES
While we don’t allow walk-ins at this time, we provide detailed photos and a video tour of the space on our website and Instagram so you can get a great feel for it before booking.

Yes! We offer an electronic seamless backdrop at our studio with black and white seamless paper.
IS SEAMLESS PAPER OFFERED?
Our natural light studio is designed to embrace beautiful light from the walls of windows throughout the day. The best light is 8am - 6pm, please keep in mind & account for daylight savings. At this time, we do not provide or rent additional lighting equipment. We kindly ask that you bring any lighting you may need for your session.
DOES THE STUDIO OFFER LIGHTING? WHEN IS THE BEST LIGHT?
All bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Please note that The Studio does not offer cancellations or refunds. We value clear and open communication. If any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out.
CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS / COMMUNICATION
Yes, liability insurance is required to rent the studio. Most businesses already have this. Please upload your Certificate of Insurance when you book. If you'r a client ask your vendors to email their COI to rachel@rachelgirouard.com If you don’t have liability insurance, please see my list of day of liability insurance HERE.
DO I NEED LIABILITY INSURANCE TO RENT THE STUDIO?
DOES THE STUDIO PROVIDE A PHOTOGRAPHER?
You may enter the studio 5 mins. before your scheduled time if the space is unoccupied. Setup, breakdown, & cleanup must be completed within your reserved time. Return the studio to its original condition. Sessions are booked back-to-back, please be respectful of the renter after you. Book the full amount of time you’ll need, including setup, breakdown. Consider adding an extra 30-minutes if needed. Overtime will result in additional charges to the CC on file. Full day rentals are available.
BOOKED STUDIO TIME / LOAD IN & OUT / WHEN SHOULD I PACK UP?
While the studio itself does not include a photographer, we’re proud to offer in-house photography services through Rachel Girouard Photography. You can connect with Rachel HERE. If you prefer, you’re also welcome to bring your own photographer for your session.
Yes, absolutely! Bring your getting-ready crew, your hair & makeup team, snacks and bubbly and enjoy your wedding morning in our bright, natural light studio. The Studio is a clean slate, designed to feel calm, open, and beautifully minimal. The Studio is perfect for creating dreamy, editorial getting-ready moments. Pop the prosseco, jump on the bed for a toast, and make incredible wedding day memories.
I'M GETTING MARRIED! CAN I BOOK THE STUDIO FOR HAIR & MAKEUP & MY GETTING READY PHOTOGRAPHS?
Food, snacks, & contained drinks are allowed. Please keep all food and drinks inside the studio. We request that you do not consume food or drinks near the equipment or backdrops to avoid spills and damage. Remove all food and beverages when you leave. Do not leave food in the garbage in the studio.
